Spectacular stuff for sure,  in an era when the motorcycling industry is suffering a bit, our dealers, riders, and sponsors brought more dollars to the table then in any past year. Kudos to the most dedicated team of Bikers who head up the hard work 8 months out of the year to pull this gig off... the Miracle Ride committee.

This years special bike build by L.A. Cycles of a Miracle Ride Evo Bobber brought the rider with the most dollars contributed to a new level and for the first year in the past 6, beat our most renowned “Elvis” impersonator, James Ross.  The ‘08 winner is John Maxwell with $7,400.00 raised for Riley Kids.

Most amazing and still rocken’ the world are our Poker Runs.  Donations in ‘08 stand at $225,000.00 with Harley-Davidson of Bloomington Poker Run establishing an incredible record.  Their tenth consecutive winning of most dollars raised for a Poker Run starting point with an outstanding figure of $70,000. from their run alone, more than 700 people. Big hip hip hurrah to Bloomington Harley-Davidson, Jeff & Carol Stevens and crew.

The real guts to the constant success and spectacular energy of this very cool ride for Indiana Kids are our Four Horseman title sponsors-The Bob & Tom Show, Lucas Oil, The Colts, and GM/Local UAW Workers.  These sponsorship dollars are huge to Indiana’s motorcycle community and certainly the kids we ride for.  Bob & Tom, Forrest & Charlotte Lucas, Howard Mudd, Jeff Saturday, and GM/UAW, THANK YOU!

In addition, the  major support from the team at GM & UAW-Jonsey, Jeff, Marvin, Fred, John, and Ron who energized Detroit to first off, give the Miracle Ride a NEW TRUCK and then secondly, brought $55,000. to the Kids, deserves an impressive “Thank you”.  What great stuff from our heartland.

Then there is Allison Transmission who now separated from GM, brought their team of riders together with management for a significant contribution of  $15,000.  Sincere  “thanks”  to Ann and everyone involved.

The list of people, friends, family, dealers, riders, kids, sponsors,  corporations, food suppliers, motorcycle safety instructors who work so very hard to share their love for our kids ia as damn heartwarming as anything one experiences in life.  Thank you.

Special thanks to Marc, Jay, and Directors from ABATE of Indiana for he tremendous support ABATE gives the Miracle Ride.  As someone who spent a lifetime fighting our good fight, I understand the time commitment to ABATE meetings,events and the dedication required to live in that part of the Biker world, the hand extended to the Miracle Ride has been special under Jay’s tutelage and it is indeed appreciated.
