Dear Miracle Riders:
For the last 7 years, all of us at The Bob & Tom Radio Show have been lucky
enough to be a part of the Miracle Ride. We continue to be amazed and
inspired by the devoted bikers and their supportive families who raise
thousands of dollars to benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
Revving up for its 16th run, this years ride offers a few changes including
a new route & additional corporate sponsors from our community. We
are thrilled again to be part of this wonderful fund-raiser, but YOU are
the true star of this event! It is you the riders, with support from the
many volunteers behind the scenes, who have raised close to $3,000,000
these last 15 years, making this among the largest charitable events in
Indianapolis. Your generous contributions & pledges support life-saving
treatments at Indiana’s premiere children’s hospital. Having spent time
with the kids at Riley, we have seen first hand how much they appreciate
all you do.
|
We look forward to you all joining us for this rewarding, exciting and
important event so we can lend a hand as only Hoosier bikers can! So,
go out and get those pledges, shine up your bikes and let’s make Miracle
Ride 2009 another record-breaking event by raising $400,000 for Riley!
Thank you for your generosity.
YOU GUYS ROCK!
See you at the Ride!

Dear Miracle Riders:
The Lucas Oil family is truly proud to be sponsoring the Miracle Ride. Each year
when Charlotte and I ride past Riley Hospital and see the smiles on the faces of
those very brave children we find it impossible not to contribute.
I am not only proud to contribute to a hospital that works so hard to save the
lives of children, but I am also proud to support a hospital based in Indiana.
Lucas Oil is also an Indiana based company and I too was born and raised a
“Hoosier”. So it is very important to me to stay connected to my roots.
Thanks to all the dedicated motorcyclists who |
inspire folks from all walks of life
to get involved in the Miracle Ride. With the passion each of you bring to the
spirit of giving so unselfishly to Indiana’s children, Lucas Oil is mighty pleased
to be sharing in this magical ride for kids!
Regards,
Forrest Lucas |

We love kids!
It’s really as simple as that so when the opportunity to become involved
in the Miracle Ride presented itself, AAA Hoosier Motor Club jumped at
the chance!
Since initially being organized as a social group in 1902, AAA Hoosier
Motor Club has consistently been a roadway safety advocate but even
back then, club officials had a special place in their hearts for children. The
club initiated local school safety programs in the 1920s and continues to
grow those types of education-based initiatives today.
In more recent years, we’ve become a state leader in the promotion of
child passenger safety. In fact, club technicians inspected 1,306 car seats
in 2008 alone.
Riley Hospital for Children is to be commended for the miraculous work
it does and AAA Hoosier Motor Club is extremely proud to be supporting
that work.
Additionally, I’d like to personally thank each and every 2009 Miracle Ride
participant. You are truly making a difference and together, we’re all part
of something very special.
Sincerely ,
Gary D. Michelson

Dear Miracle Ride
Participants and Sponsors:
Thank you for the generous support you have provided to thousands of
Indiana’s most seriously ill and injured children. Since the event began in 1994,
Miracle Ride has raised over $2.35 million for Riley Hospital for Children.
This is
a remarkable accomplishment.
The 16th annual Miracle Ride will raise funds for Riley Hospital’s most
critical needs, including the pediatric burn unit. Riley Hospital depends on
contributions from events like the Miracle Ride to remain Indiana’s flagship for
pediatric care and research, pediatrician training, and community education
and advocacy.
Miracle Ride has become an annual tradition for motorcycle enthusiasts and
Riley Hospital patients alike, as well as one of the largest charitable events in
Indiana. This success is a tribute to Miracle Ride leadership, generous sponsor
support and devoted participants. Every year, Riley patients eagerly anticipate
the parade of more than 7,000 motorcycles riding past the Riley Outpatient
Center.
On behalf of the Riley children and families we
serve, thank you for your heartfelt dedication
and commitment to the children of Indiana.
Sincerely,
Kevin O’Keefe
